For a longest time, I wanted to catch the lotus blooming at the Chinese/Jap garden across my apartment. It bloomed a few months ago while this choking haze blanketed the sky and I missed them again. Last weekend, we had a clear day, so I grabbed my camera and went to the garden hoping there were flowers left. To my disappointment, the big pond had been cleared but fortunately the small pond still had some flowers.

I just saw a beautiful exhibit at the San Francisco Asian Art Museum “How Japanese Art influenced the Monet & the Impressionists. Your watercolors and bridge remind me of Monet.
